Charlotte von der Lancken

Charlotte von der Lancken (b.1978) is a Swedish industrial designer with an MA from Konstfack – The University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. After graduating in 2004 she together with three classmates founded the progressive design group Front. Strong concepts, the use of chance and new technological hard- and software, resulted in designs that internationally are regarded as some of the most influential in the 21st century. In 2015 von der Lancken opened her own studio named CVDLAB in which the research into sustainable manufacturing processes and materials are at the core of the practice. Her experiments in biomaterials, the use of 3D printing technology, as well as assignments for producers in furniture and product design, have continued to result in work that fuels our imagination and drives the industry forward.
